Question: Should signatures be dated?

Signature date The date next to a signature should always be the date that party signed the document.

How do you date a signature?

The signature date is, unsurprisingly, the date written next to or below the signature of each party, showing the date they signed the contract. Contracts can also, confusingly, contain defined dates such as commencement date, effective date or start date.

What is the difference between signature field and signature block?

The signature block is a group of fields. The signature block field cannot be made optional and is always required. By default, the signature block contains both a signature field, and an e-mail field. Account Admins can adjust what fields are included in the signature block.
