Why wont my Vizio soundbar connect to my Vizio TV?

The Vizio Soundbar and TV will not work together if the cable is in the wrong port in either device. The recommended port is HDMI 1 (ARC) on the TV and HDMI OUT (ARC) on the Soundbar. You may also need to enable the CEC and ARC features, unplug other devices and change the Audio Output settings.

Why will my Vizio sound bar not work?

Make sure your sound bar is powering on. When your sound bar powers on a light will appear on either the left hand side, or the center of the bar. If you are not seeing any lights make sure the power cord is securely connected to the outlet and the sound bar.

Press and hold the INPUT button on the remote control for 3 seconds to enable the auto input detect function. Press and hold the button on the remote. The Sound Bar will be discoverable for 15 minutes. You can now search for the Sound Bar (VIZIO SB3831) using your Bluetooth Device.
