Bosnians are renowned for being cheerful, outgoing and engaging people. One can expect to be met with great generosity and warmth. People are quick to offer their support to both strangers and friends. This selflessness of the culture is noticeable on a day-to-day basis.

Can I wear shorts in Bosnia?

Usually this means no shorts or bare shoulders for either gender, and a headscarf is required for women wishing to enter mosques (at the larger tourist sites, this is often provided). While some nightclubs have dress codes barring those wearing shorts (or carrying guns!) they rarely require formal attire.
