Why is there an increase in single parent families?
The reasons for the increase in lone-parenthood are varied. Allan and Crow (2001) have identified two factors. First is an increase in marital breakdown and secondly a rise in births to unmarried mothers. They argue these trends are due to societys acceptance of family diversity.
Can parents take turns claiming child taxes?
